Cool Windows Vista doesn't read SD card

I'm running Windows Vista, and when I stick my SD card in my laptop the computer doesn't want to read it. In device manager it shows the driver is there and everything but if you go to the computer section in Window's Explorer it doesn't even show it. Anyone one have any idea how to fix this
