Exclamation install error : HELP!

i decided i wanted to start on a clean install of windows vista

i pop in my disk and i booted from it

i deleted all current partitions and created a new, 15 GB partition for
windows files ,leaving the other 95 GB as unallocated

everything goes smoothly until it gets to "completing install"
it will do this for a couple hours and then say windows cannot configure
some hardware or something

so now, i cant install an operating system, and my past operating system is

what can i do ?

You really need to identify which hardware it's having a problem with. It may be the device is improperly connected or not pushed firmly into it's slot.
First thing to do is open her up and check all cables and connections are fully engaged and secure, next see that all cards are fully pushed home in their slot.

I just did a complete reinstall of windows myself. What I also did was a complete dismantle and reassemble of the entire system. This is not required, but it does make sure that everything had any dust removed and all components were seated/installed correctly.

Try removing all non-necassary hardware like excess RAM and AGP cards. Make sure that what's left installed is correctly attached a cyclic as suggested, then boot from disc and reinstall windows.
