Microsoft said in a statement that it expects Windows XP to make up a significantly larger part of sales in the coming year. The company said in a statement that they have now changed its fiscal year 2008 forecast from an 85/15 split in sales between Vista and XP to a 78/22 split.
This means that the sales of XP operating system would be nearly 50 percent higher in the next 12 months than Microsoft had estimated earlier. My prediction is that this will change with the release of a major service pack for Vista. |
