Default Realtek driver R 2.57 may cause mic not to work

I downloaded and installed successfully this R 2.57 driver as Realtek High Definition Audio new available driver for Vista & Win7, this driver was not proposed yet as update by MS. Windows nr old driver: and Windows nr of the new installed driver: The old driver was removed also during this procedure, but now my Skype does not work nor connect and says "cannot access your soundcard", so the internal mic of the laptop
(Acer Aspire) does not work. Positive is that the Stereo-mix works now, this feature did not work with the old driver. I use Vista Home Premium+SP2 32bit. What to do?
