when vista boots up and gone past password a box comes up saying that indexer has been stoped then it says micro soft doesnt have a cure any help on how to get it working again

Had a sneek at that page. Maybe those suggestions will work for you but if not, try this:

Go to these two folders and delete all the files they contain.

C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Search\Data\Applications\ Windows
and:

C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Search\Data\Temp

In your Services, of course, Windows search must be on automatic.
