Default Quicktime

On: http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/win.html
they don't specify Vista as a version to download for.
I've read horrible things about crashes.
Has anyone used Quicktime 7.1 succesfully?

Thumbs up itunes works...

I have been using iTunes 7.1.1.5 successfully for the past few weeks and I know it requires quicktime, so I think you should be good to go. I think most of the bad press was a previous version of iTunes, not so much quicktime, that was causing all the crashes.

I always use Quicktime Alternative (quick google you will find it) seems to work ok on Vista Ultimate at least. I mostly use Firefox but it plugs in to IE and works much the same. The standalone player is media player classic, works for me.
