Post Automatic shutdown instead of locking

When i leave my Laptop for some time its getting shut down instead of locking. When i restart a window shows a message like "Windows has recovered from unexpected shutdown", it was not happening before. Can anyone give the solution for this.

It could be anything. I tend to find that electrical issues - especially battery problems like old batteries - will cause the laptop to think the battery life is done and then shut off immediately. If the laptop becomes disconnected from the power supply this happens. When you boot up, you see the issue.
