Default Network Problem

Yesterday I suddenly was unable to connect to the internet on my computer. I'm using an ethernet cable hooked up directly from my router, and I'm sure that I'm having a computer problem and not a router problem. I don't remember changing any network settings, but I'm now getting the error "The network adapter hamachi does not have a valid ip configuration." I've restarted my computer a couple times, tried disabling the firewall, reset the network adapter, reset my modem/router, disabled and enabled the connection, but nothing seems to work. My computer does say it has a local connection to "network 3" but not to the Internet. The diagnostic tool tells me that its either a problem with my router, or that I should plug a cable into the network adapter "Local are connection." Any suggestions?
Please tell me if you need any more information.
