Default Problem making backup of computer

Good evening everyone:

This is my first post here, hope you are all well.

I am trying to make a back up of my vista laptop computer (32 bit ultimate), but I get this error message.

What does it mean? For sure, there is plenty of room on my hard drive to which I am trying to back up.

You have some type of connection error - is the drive directly connected to the PC or to an ethernet network? The bottom line is that this usually means that there is some connectivity dropout during the backup. This could also be the result of a bad cable (you can replace it and try again) or other error.
