Hello, all. I got a HP Pavilion dv9000 about a year ago, and has been fine for me until a few months ago. You know how there is a rule enforced by the computer that there has to be at least one administrative user available at all times? As in, there is always an admin.
Well, 2 or 3 months ago, I put parental controls on my only user by making that user standard, creating another user, giving it admin privileges, and naming it admin. It worked fine, but the next day, I went on to find that the user admin had turned to a standard user.
This left my computer empty of administrators, blocking my computer from doing many vital things, such as install and uninstall programs. When ever I attempt such things, it asks for an administative passrd, but does not provide a field to type. This gets me very frustrated.
I'm sure there is a cmd prompt command for this sort of thing, and it would really help me out if someone could give me a hint. Thank you so much
