Hello all,

I am now unable to install new gadgets. I can download them to my downloads folder, but it won't install. Any ideas? It may have started after a windows update.

Two things, first can we check you are using this method to install (having made sure they are for Vista's sidebar - there are several 'other' versions)

Download the Gadget

Extract the Gadget from the Zipfile

Double click on the Gadgetfile and the Windows Sidebar will open and a message will popup With Install and dont Install. Select Install

Second, have you run a registry cleaner or optimizer utility recently ?

Thanks, No registry cleaner, and optimizer. When i double click the file to install, thie sidebar does pop up, but the gadget does not install. It worked fine yesterday. No new programs were added.
