Default How to deal with DLL files (System32) ?

What's the best way to deal with DLL files in order to make them redundant ?

Is it by DELETING or by RENAMING with a diff. file extension ?

I'm trying to get rid of 3 patches that i downloaded, & start the process all over again.

Thanks - Mave

Phew - You like to live on the edge!
I would do it in two stages. First rename them (Maybe one by one?) like blog.dll to blog2.dll). Then restart and see if there are any problems. If all seems well you could remove them.
One piece of software, which the pundits will warn you off, but which I use regularly, is Ccleaner. That is remarkable at getting rid of the rubbish.
Another one, which I have not yet used a lot, but on first glance seems to be more thorough, is the latest "Vista Manager"

Posted on another site, I think?
Anyway, if not, this attached reg file will give you a right click option to take ownership. It saves all the mouse clicks, etc, to do it the hard way through the security options.
