Just found a few pages that were listing a way to get the Aero Glass interface (if you have the hardware capabilities...128 mb grapics card, etc.) even if you only have Vista Home basic. This is probably the most sought after feature that people want that probably didnt come with their new dell/vista home basic machine.
Note: Does require registry edit so be careful! 1. Start Menu -> Accessories -> Run 2. type regedit in the open text and hit enter 3. Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER -> Software -> Microsoft -> Windows -> DWM 4. Double click Composition and set to 1 5. Double click CompositionPolicy and set to 2 6. Restart Should have Aero Glass now...Enjoy! |
