Default Hiding a folder based on contents.

I use a program called tvLibrary to display stored videos on my system.
This program displays a button for each non hidden folder in my videos folder
Sometimes there are videos in these folders at other times there isn't. I would only like to have folders with a video in them to be visible( I don't want to have to do it manually).

Is there a way to make a folder either hidden or visible based on contents? This doesn't have to be real time just something I could schedule a couple times a day.

I don't remember my vb programming well enough to accomplish this.
